Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A β-ketocarboxylic acid ester I [R1 is linear, branched or cyclic alkyl, or residual group II (R4 and R5 are H, halogen, alkyl, trifluoromethyl, etc.; n is 1W3); R2 and R3 are alkyl; X is alkylene optionally having alkyl side chains; R2 and R3 may together form an alkylene group optionally having an oxygen atom].
EXAMPLE: β-Dimethylaminoethyl 3-oxovalerianate.
USE: A synthetic intermediate of 7-ethoxycarbonyl-6,8-dimethyl-4-(β,β-diacylvinyl)- 1-phthalazone derivative useful for prophylaxis and remedy for arteriosclerosis, thrombosis, ischemia brain injury and ischemia cardiopathy.
PROCESS: A compound I is prepared by reacting a compound III with a compound IV preferably in inert gas atmosphere at 100W150°C during stirring.
