Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove pollutants efficiently, by arranging a denitrating device, a dust collector and a wet-process desulfurizing device, and in such an order, which are designed not to get their operating performances deteriorated by dust or SOx.
CONSTITUTION: Temperature of waste gas from a diesel engine 10 is raised to the temperature best suit for denitration by an after burner 1 and is led into a dry- process denitrating device 2, whose operating performance is not deteriorated by dust and SOx, to get its NOx content removed. The waste gas having departed from the dry-process denitrating device 2 is led into a heat exchanger 3 where waste heat is recovered, cooled off to a saturation temperature by a cooler 4 and led into a wet-process electrostatic dust-collector 5. The waste gas having its dust, oil mist and SO3 mist removed in the wet-process electrostatic dust collector 5 is led into a wet-process desulfurizing device 6 where its SO2 content is removed, raised its temperature by a heat exchanger 7 and then exhausted to the atmosphere. Waste water drained from the cooler 4, the wet-process electrostatic dust collector 5 and the wet-process desulfurizing device 6 is treated by a waste water treating device 8.
