Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the power of an exhaust pump and simplify the configuration of treating boiling-off gas by supplying part of low temperature liquefied gas discharged from the pump onto the rack stage of boiling-off gas exhaust tube at the top of a storage tank and returning it to the tank. CONSTITUTION:Part of low temperature liquefied gas from an exhaust pump 2 is supplied onto rack stages 8, 9 arranged in the longitudinal tube portion 3a of boiling-off gas exhaust tube 3 communicating with the top of the storage tank 1, and returned to the tank 1. Thus, since the temperature can be equalized at the portion 3a to thereby equalize the composition of the gas, it is not necessary to supply and clean the boiling-off gas by supplying the LNG into a knock-out drum 4. Accordingly, it is not necessary to return the LNG in the knock-out drum 4 back to the storage tank to thereby reduce the power and to simplify the entire configuration.
