Abstract

PURPOSE: An insecticide composition that is prepared by adding various kinds of organic phosphorus compounds to O,S-dimethyl N-acetylphosphoroamidethioate, thus becoming sufficiently effective against major members of fruit tree injurious insects, as white peach scale, leaf holders, and other.
CONSTITUTION: Said composition contains O,S-dimethyl N-acetylphosphoroamide- thioate (abbreviated to Acephate hereinafter) along with O,O-dimethyl S-(2- ethylsulfinyl-1-methylethyl)phosphorothioate and O,O,O,O-tetraethyl S,S-methylenebis(phosphorothionate). Acephate acts as a contact insecticide against aphides and a stomach poison against green catapillars and the addition of other chemicals expands the insecticide spectrum.
