Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an elastic surface wave oscillator which features the good linearity and can be suitably formed into an IC by using the elastic surface wave element delivering two signals of different phases plus the doublebalanced differential amplifier.
CONSTITUTION: The two signals of different phases are dilivered to the output ends of output transducers TRD33 and 34 of elastic surface wave element 31. The output of TRD33 and 34 are supplied to the base of transistor Tr17 of double balanced differential amplifier 35 and the base of Tr18 respectively. The output of amplifier 35 is amplified 37, and the output is fed back to input TRD32 to form an oscillator. The control is given to the ratio of the output signals of TRD33 and 34 by applying the control voltage to control terminal T1 of amplifier 35, and thus the phase shift amount is decided for the composite signal. As a result, the frequency of the signal obtained at output terminal T2 can be varies with the linearity over a wide range of the control voltage. The circuit of such constitution requires no special parts and thus can be suitably formed into an IC.
