Abstract
PURPOSE: To make possible the optimum shape control for the steel sheet to be rolled, and to contrive the improvement of the product quality, by arranging the feedback circuit for the position of intermediate rolls, the position control circuit, the tuning control circuit for two intermediate rolls, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The pulse of the pulse generator 12 for detecting the movement of intermediate rolls 1, 2, of the rolling mill 10 is inputted to the feedback circuits 14, 15; the position control circuits 18, 19, operate the position error of each intermediate roll 1, 2, from above stated input and the inputs given by the aim setting circuits 16, 17; the error difference between intermediate rolls 1, 2, is obtained by the detecting circuit 21; and, so as to make zero this error difference, the rolls 1, 2, are controlled simultaneously to vertically move in the same stroke, through the tuning control circuit 22 and position control circuits 18, 19. Since the rolls 1, 2, are not separately controlled like as in the conventional method, the difference in the moving step in never caused, even if the speed difference is very small, so that the optimum shape control for the rolled steel sheet becomes possible.
