Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain proper ink supply pressure, by adjusting the pressure of a pump wherein the detecting value of a loading condition of a filter is indicated at exchange time by detecting the loading condition as differential pressure. CONSTITUTION:Pressure Pi at the inlet side of a filter and pressure Po at the outlet side are introduced to a differential pressure detector 1. Difference between the Pi and the Po becomes larger in response to a dust extraneous degree of the filter, a diaphragm 2 is displaced and a leaf spring 4 is bent. Thus, an electrostriction element 5 pasted to the leaf spring 4 is strained, and electric output proportional to the quantity of distortion is indicated to a meter 7. The output is simultaneously input to a pump pressure adjusting device, pump pressurizing force is controlled in response to pressure loss and constant ink pressure is continually fed to a head portion in response to a change on standing of the pressure loss of head in an ink supply system. Exchange for the loading of the filter must be prepared when the indication of the meter swings up to a portion A, and the reaching of exchange time is grasped at a glance when the indication swings up to a portion B.
