Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a simple constitution to lock a fast forward lever with one end of the fast forward lever caught by a pinch roller support plate when the lever is turned and also to unlock it by operating a plunger when a tape comes to its end.
CONSTITUTION: A cassette tape is equipped with movable chassis 16 fitted rotatably to fixed chassis 14 by a couple of rotary pins 11 and 12. Inserting cassette 18 unlocks locking mechanism 20 to rotate and rise movable chassis 16. At this time, cassette 18 is supported by reel mechanism 22 and rotary torque from a motor is transmitted. When fast forward lever 42 is turned for FF or REW, one end of lever 42 is caught by pinch roller support plate 40 for FF or REW locking and when the tape end comes to a fixed position, auto reverse plunger mechanism 34 is put into operation and pinch roller support plate 40 is turned interlocking to it to leave pinch roller support plate 40 from the lock position of fast forward lever 42, thereby unlocking the lever.
