Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a thermometer easy to handle by applying infrared rays from an object to be measured and a reference black body to the sensor alternately, by measuring temperature of the black body directly and by obtaining temperature of the object from an electromotive force of the sensor by arithmetic operation. CONSTITUTION:Infrared rays from both the object 1 and the reference black body 2 are alternately applied to the infrared ray sensor 5 that produces an electromotive force corresponding to the quantity of infrared rays. Temperature of the reference black body 2 is measured by the thermal sensor 4, a proportional constant that relates temperature to electromotive force is obtained from both the electromotive force and temperature of the reference black body. The proportional constant and the quantity of infrared rays from the object are operated to obtain temperature of the object. For the reference black body, a disc, for example, is used and rotated, or it is reciprocated up-down or right-left.
