Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a thermal fixing roll having a superior characteristic of adhering to a metal core by feeding two kinds of silicone resin compounds having different volume of silicone oil content under a special step for making a cylindrical shape to enable a number of copies to be made without any off-setting.
CONSTITUTION: A first normal temperature hardening siglicone resin compound having 10W20% of silicone oil is injection molded onto a metallic core under a concentric cylindrical form. Then, a second normal temperature hardening silicone resin compound having 25W40% of silicone oil is injection molded over an outer circumference of the first compound under a concentric cylindrical form to get a final thermal fixing roll. As a silicone oil, a viscosity at a normal temperature is preferably 100W2000 centipoise.
