Abstract

PURPOSE: To miniaturize a device, by using a platen soaking ink into itself instead of a ribbon.
CONSTITUTION: A platen 17 is constituted such that a water absorptive porous substance 21 soaks ink fed from ink feed ports 24 and is sheathed with a contamination protecting plate 22 having windows 23. Said platen is used instead of a ribbon. Pringing is performed by pressing a pressing object such as head dots against the platen thru a printing paper. This eliminates the need for a ribbon device for printing which occupies a space. A device can thus be miniaturized and also simplified.
