Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible accurate control with a simple construction with heat source running condition detecting means each provided at the first opening located on the heat source side of the hood and the second opening located at the position not facing the heat source side.
CONSTITUTION: When a ventilation fan 7 is driven, through the first opening 13 for main suction, exhaust gas from the gas range and the like therebelow flows with a hot air and a chill air containing no exhaust gas in the chamber flows through sub-suction ports 3, 14 and 15. Therefore, a difference is found in the air temperature or the amount of exhaust gas between points AWE. If detecting means 17 and 18 (for instance, temperature sensors) for detecting the running conditions of the gas ranges each provided at least one of points A and B and at least one of points C, D and E are provided to compare the conditions, it is possible to discriminate the running conditions of the gas range properly. These temperature sensors are connected to the motor 5 of the ventilation fan 7 by way of a control circuit 19.
