Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a bias source featuring a high resistance to the power fluctuation by using the forward voltage of the transistor driven by the constant current source for the constant voltage source. CONSTITUTION:The base-emitter saturation current is proportional to the emitter area within the same chip of the monolithic IC. Each emitter area of transistors Q3-Q6 are referred to as SE3-SE6 to secure selection of SE4>SE3 and SE5>SE6 each. At the same time, current I2 flowing through Q4 is set larger than current I3 flowing through Q6 when the power source is on. As a result, transistor Q2 is turned on by the current of I2-I3=I4, and then Q1, Q3 and Q4 are turned on. After starting, I4 is reduced down to such level that can be ignored compared with I2 and I3. As a result, I2 becomes nearly identical to I3, and the constant current level is secured for Q3, Q5 and Q7 of diode connection. Thus the potential is stabilized at point A which is expressed by the sum of the base-emitter voltage of Q3 and Q6.
