Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Light 15 emitted from a light source 14 passes through a polarizer 16 and half mirror 17 and enters the light deflecting element 19 having the magnetic garnet film placed within the magnetic field created by a coil 18. A mirror 20 is provided in close contact with the surface of the light deflecting element 19 on the side opposite from its light incident surface and the reflected light is reflected and again receives the Faraday rotation effect by parallel domains. The reflected light is reflected by the half mirror 17 and is taken out through an analyzer 21.
