Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a compact and light-weight constant voltage power unit of transless which can set the free output voltage by generating the gate signal through the comparison between the voltage passed with the time limit of the commercial power source and the free reference voltage and thus giving the control to the CRT.
CONSTITUTION: The voltage obtained from the commercial power source is controlled at time control part 16, and the voltage passed for the time controlled is compared with the free reference voltage at reference voltage comparison part 17. When the voltage passed through part 16, becomes lower than the reference voltage, the gate signal is generated to be applied to the CRT of current pass control part 18. Thus the current path is controlled for the commercial power source. The output current at part 18 is smoothed through smoothing circuit 19 and thus changed into the DC current to be supplied to load 20. The minute fluctuation of the output voltage due to the change of the impedance of load 20 is fed back to part 17 via negative feedback circuit 20 to correct and stabilize the fluctuation of the output voltage. In such way, a low-cost, compact and light-weight constant voltage power unit, which can set the free voltage, can be obtained.
