Abstract

PURPOSE: To compensate for shortages of braking force in case of the failure of one of dual braking systems by providing each of two braking systems with the corresponding control valve in series and also providing installing a means for controlling liquid pressure between the control valves.
CONSTITUTION: A set of control valves 5 and 6 are installed on each brake of dual pipe brake system in series. A liquid pressure controlling measure consisting of bolt 21, plungers 13 and 14 and free piston 19 is provided between both valves 5 and 6. By so doing, it is possible to keep the control valve of one brake system in open condition even in the case of the failure of the other brake system. More specifically, it is possible to keep up stable braking force of the front and rear wheels 47, 48, 54 and 55 through the function of the so-called proportioning, uniform braking force of left and right rear wheels 47 and 48 and prevent proportioning functions from work in case of the failure of any one of the dual braking system.
