Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare a long-acting, highly effective title agent, which can be applied without directly contacting the object to be treated, by using a specific alkylphenol compound as an effective component and a volatile compound as a synergist.
CONSTITUTION: Tablets, etc. containing (A) an alkylphenol derivative of formula (R1 is t-butyl or iso-propyl; R2 is H, methyl or Cl) such as 4-t-butyl-3-chlorophenol, (B) a volatile compound such as an aromatic volatile compound pref. naphthalene, or a lower alkyl aldehyde trimer such as isobutylaldehyde trimer, and if necessary, (C) a binder, colorant, insecticide, etc. The tablets are placed in a wardrobe, a drawer, a closet, a clog cabinet, a dress case, etc., or in an outdoor warehouse, or a greenhouse such as a vinyl plastic hothouse, at regular spacings.
