Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce number of part items and number of assembling processes by assembling coil formed with insulating material into core to make reactor for electric discharge lamp.
CONSTITUTION: Coil 3 made of enamel wire and the like is put in a metal mold and hardened with thermosetting resin such as epoxy resin, polyester resin or thermoplastic resin such as polybutadiene resin injected. Then coil 3 thus formed is inserted into the central core of E-shaped core 1 and fixed with the cover of I- shaped core, and magnetic path is formed, while lead wire 6 being drawn out from coil 3. In this way, bobbin, case, varnish for impregnating coil and the like are unnecessary, preparation process is considerably shortened, while dampproof property increasing and noises lessening.
