Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten greatly a phototelegraphy time by eliminating a shear in image in reproduction by phototelegraphing the original picture of a black-and-white pricture recorded by a stripe filter with blue and red reflecting characteristics while color-separating it and mixing.
CONSTITUTION: Transmitting rotary drum 1 is turned and optical system 20 is moved axially. As a result, a black-and-white picture printed on photographic paper 19 on drum 1 by a stripe filter with blue and red reflecting characteristics is scanned by light source 21 and also converted into an electric signal corresponding to green, red and blue by photoelectric tube 22. This signal is supplied to reception-side electric filter 23 by way of phototelegraphing path 7 and then color-separated into electric signals equivalent to green, red and blue. Those electric signals are converted by discharge tube 8 into photo signals, which are recorded as block-and-white images on photographic papers 28a∼28c on receiving rotary drum 27. Those black- and-white pictures are optically mixed to obtain a color picture.
