Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the safety of an electromobile by starting the motor only when the accelerator pedal is depressed after all switches of driving system are turned on.
CONSTITUTION: When the accelerator switch 10 is closed after the battery connector 8, key switch 9 and direction switch 11 are all turned on, voltage develops at the points b, c simultaneously and the thyristor 63 is turned on. Thus the capacitor 52 of the gate circuit 50 is shorted and the capacitor 42 for the gate circuit of thyristor 37 is also shorted. Further, the capacitor 23 provided to the gate circuit of the thyristor 21 for exciting the main contactor is charged through the resistance 22, and when the charge reaches the level enough to conduct the Zener diode 24, the capacitor 23 is discharged. By this, the thyristor 21 is turned on, the main contactor 12 is put to start the motor.
