Abstract
PURPOSE: To achieve easier and more efficient finish work by surface-finishing the molded spectacle parts through electrolytic polishing.
CONSTITUTION: Parts of small sizes and intricate shapes having polyhedral shapes and curved shapes such as eye rims 1, temples 2, hinges 3, broaches 4 and particularly hinges 3 and broaches 4 are subjected to electrolytic polishing, whereby they are surface-finished. In the case of carrying out the electrolytic polishing, the spectacle part 7 to be surface-finished is dipped in the electrolyte 6 put in an electrolytic bath 5. This part is connected to the anode side of the DC power source not illustrated and the cathode metal body 8 connected to the cathode side of the DC power source is dipped in the electrolyte 6, thence current is supplied. Thereby, the surface of the spectacle part 7 is smoothed by elution action and is thereby finished to a good surface.
