Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent curving of the ring material to be rolled and enable types of plural digits to be determined at an even relief height and rolled by rolling the material to be rolled while supporting its central part with a support roller.

CONSTITUTION: A holder 6 consisting of a holding shaft 3 and bearing members 4, 5 is provided in parallel with the axial center of a matrix ring 1 engraved with plural digits of type molding parts 2. The material to be rolled 8 is rotatably fitted to the holding shaft 3 and the bearing members 4, 5 are pressed with the pressing part 11 of a pressing body 10, and the central outside circumference of the ring material to be rolled 8 is pressed to the pressing body 10 via the shaft 12 by a revolvable support roller 13. When the matrix ring 1 is revolved in this state, the ring material to be rolled 8 and support roller 13 revolve owing to contact friction, causing the types to be molded by the type molding part 2 on the outside circumference of the ring material to be rolled 8. At this time, the ring material to be rolled 8 is supported by the support roller 13 and therefore it will not curve and the relief height of the types becomes even.
