Abstract

PURPOSE: To form the sound weld zone free from any undercut without using any ancillary facilities such as for weaving by adjusting the torch set positions according to the fluctuations in groove gap width and balancing the feed rates and melting amounts electrode wires in performing narrow groove butt are welding of plates.
CONSTITUTION: Electrode wires 1 are fed at the same speed by a motor 2 and are let to reach a conductive chip 4 through the hole of a flat-plate form torch 3.
