Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure the steady and assured elimination for the pilot signal by utilizing the fact that the phase shift is caused between the input and the output and before and after the sample holding. CONSTITUTION:The sample holding is given to the full peak value of stereo composite signal SC via 76kHz sampling signal (a) synchronizing with the pilot signal in order to obtain waveform A. The sample holding is then given to waveform A via 38kHz sampling signals (b) and (d) featuring the phase shift to signal (a) to obtain waveforms BL and BR having phase difference theta and theta'. Then waveforms A and BL are added together to obtain waveform CL, and waveforms A and BR are added together to obtain waveform CR each. And the sample holding is given to waveforms CL and CR via sampling signals (c) and (e) generated between theta and theta' to obtain waveforms DL and DR. These waveforms are then averaged to give the demodulation to signals L and R with the pilot signal eliminated.
