Abstract
PURPOSE: To decrease the temperature rise at the winding a bearing portion, by integrally joining only the leg portions of a bearing cover holding a bearing metal with a stator by resin and by separating other cylinder portions from the stator.
CONSTITUTION: Only leg portions 13 are integrally molded with resin 3 with a stator 1 in a bearing cover 10 building in a bearing metal 9 of this outer rotor type motor that a rotor 5 is located at the outer circumferential side of the stator 1. Thus, space layers are formed which both a cylinder portion 11 of the bearing cover 10 and an inner circumferential portion of the stator 1 and both an end surface portion 12 of the cover 10 and a flank portion 4 of the stator each function as ventialtion flues 17. Cooling air currents are produced by means of blades 7 mounted to a side-wall 6 of the rotor by the revolution of the rotor 5, and the cooling air currents 18 are sucked from the flank portion 4 of the stator, cool the stator and a metal bearing portion and are discharged from an exhaust port 8. Thus, the temperature rise at winding and the bearing portion can be diminished.
