Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of initial glow in a gap between a second and a third grid by provding a conductive member applied with a voltage same with or practically same with the voltage applied to the third grid on the back of an insulative supporting member at a position corresponding to the gap.
CONSTITUTION: A conductive member 19 inclined relative to an insulative supporting member 18 is provided near a third grid 13, encircling the insulative supporting member 18, opposite to the electrode supporting face 18-1 of the insulative supporting member 18 and near a second grid 12. The conductive member 19 thus provided to reduce the leakage of the electron beam through a gap between the second grid 12 and the third grid 13 which occures when photoelectron beam are projected against the fluorescent screen.
