Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the undesired component caused in the blanking period and thus to avoid the negative effect caused by the undesired component.
CONSTITUTION: For the SECAM signal applied to input terminal 29, the chrominance signal is extracted through band pass filber 30. And the spectrum is corrected adversely by adverse bell filter 31, and the output is applied to frequency step-down unit 35 via ACC circuit 32 and limiter 33 for division to be then added with luminance signal 37 received the frequency modulation by adder 38 and via the band pass filter and recording equalizer 36 for recording. Unit 35 is fixed forcedly to the necessary potential for the blanking period of the chrominance via the blanking control signal given from blanking control signal generator 34, thus suppressing the undesied noise for the blanking period. The same action is given also in the reproduction system with application of the blanking control signal to gate circuit 45.
