Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate adverse influence of roll eccentricity upon plate thicknesses without requiring any adjustment at the roll changing by measuring the roll eccentricity amount during rolling, forecasting the roll eccentricity and correcting roll opening. CONSTITUTION:Rolling load signal A and roll gap signal G are inputted to a roll eccentricity detector 7 and the roll eccentricity amount B is written in a memory 9. This write area and the read-out area by a plate thickness control unit 10 are changed by the timing pulse signal F from a preset counter 12. The plate thickness control unit 10 outputs the screw-down correction signal D calculated by removing the influence components of the roll eccentricity amount read out from the memory 9 from the fluctuations in the rolling load A to a roll gap adjust unit 4. It is also possible to employ the method of applying the inlet side plate signal K to the roll eccentricity detector 7 and calculating the correction signal D from the rolling reduction of the pre-stage stand and load.
