Abstract

PURPOSE: To maintain normal air-fuel ratio, by providing a check valve in an evaporating fuel passage so as to prevent the negative pressure of the air cleaner side from acting on inside of a float.
CONSTITUTION: One end of a passage 19 for overflowing fuel and evaporated gas is connected to an overflow hole 18 provided on a carburetor 23, and the other end of the passage 19 is connected to clean side of an air-cleaner 22 through a space 20 which is airtight-closed in a position lower than the oil level in the float chamber of the carburetor 23. Further, a check valve 21, which is to be closed when pressure of the air cleaner side exceeded a prescibed value, is installed on the halfway of the passage 19 between the airtight-closed space 20 and clean side of the air cleaner 22. And therefore, even though negative pressure in the air cleaner were to exceed the prescribed value, since the check valve 21 is closed, negative pressure does not occur in the float chamber and air-fuel ratio can be prevented from becoming off- balance.
