Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable fuel to be injected at the optimum condition for inprovement of output, by providing each combustion chamber with 2 fuel injection valves and controlling fuel injection volume of the valves in accordance with the state of engine operation.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel injection pump 1 composed of a plunger 5, which slides in a casing 4 and openes and closes a valve 7, etc., forcibly sends fuel from an oil supply gate 11 to an oil transfer pipe. The oil transfer pipe 12 is connected to two fuel injection valves 50 and 60 which are opened in a combustion chamber (not shown) through a distributor 20. And a fuel choking body 30, which has a choke hole 34 in its inside, is arranged on the upstream side of an injection valve 50. For this reson, when less volume of fuel is sent out from the pump 1, only the fuel from the injection valve 60 is injected, and when the volume became increased, injection of the fuel from the injection valve 60 is done normally and jetting of the fuel from the jetting valve 50 is choked, whereby agitation of mixture gas in the combustion chamber is enhanced and the combustibility is improved.
