Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a long life, low cost, easy-to-handle toner of high photo sensitivity, by adsorbing two kinds of dyes selected from specified p-type dye and n-type dye alternately such as p-type +n-type and n-type +p-type to an inorganic compound having photo conductivity.
CONSTITUTION: In a photoconductive toner used in xerography not reguiring photoreceptor, two or more kinds selected from rose bengal (p-type) and malachite green and brilliant green (both n-type) dyes are alternately adsorbed, such as p-type +n-type and n-type +p-type, onto nontoxic inorganic compound having photo conductivity, such as ZnO and TiO2. The p-type dye does not have strong absorption in long wavelength region, while the n-type dye has strong absorption in long wavelength region. Therefore, by adsorbing them alternately, the sensitizing property is improved as shown in the diagram.
