Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a blocked cloth like fur with agreeable touch at low cost, by depositing a dye, a sizing agent and an antistatic agent on yarns, cutting them, blocking on the surface of substrate cloth and washing.
CONSTITUTION: Yarns 2 of filament of fine denier are immersed in a treating tank 3 containing a blend of a dye, a sizing agent and an antistatic agent. The yarns 2 are passed through a drying machine 4 and a steam boiler 5 to deposit the dye on the yarns. The yarns are cut in a predetermined length by a cutter 6 to obtain flocks. The flocks 1 are applied densely on the surface of a substrate cloth 7 by means of a flocking machine 8. The resulting cloth is dried by means of a drying machine 10. The sizing agent is washed off the cloth which is then passed through a drying machine 10'. By this process, fine and long flocks are densely set, and cloths having soft surface and fur-like touch can be obtained.
