Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:An adduct of pantethine with a metal salt, e.g. CaCl2, MgCl2, or AlCl3.
EXAMPLE: An adduct of pantethine with calcium chloride.
USE: Medicines, as a stable solid matter, having the same biological activity as pantethine, handleable more simply than lyophilized ones, not in a vitrified or glutinous state at 40W50°C.
PREPARATION: A metal salt, e.g. CaCl2, MgCl2, or AlCl3, is dissolved in an aqueous solution of pantethine, and the resulting solution is dehydrated by vacuum concentration, etc. An organic solvent, e.g. methanol or acetone, is added to the residue, and stirred, to give a crystalline matter, which is filtered and dried to obtain an adduct of pantethine.
