Abstract

PURPOSE: To attain a stable combustion of an atomized, pre-mixed liquid fuel by providing a burner head with flame holes formed in a porous material of a low thermal conductivity, whereby no undesirable substances occur except a small amount of large particles which occur during or after an atomization operation.
CONSTITUTION: A liquid fuel atomized in an atomization device 1 is introduced via a connector pipe 6 into a pre-mixing section 2 by an air current from a fan 4 driven by a motor 5. The particles of atomized fuel and air are uniformly mixed in the pre-mixing section 2. This pre-mixed gas is introduced into a combustion section 3 to be ejected to the outside from outer ends 10 of flame holes 8. The pre-mixed gas at the outer ends 10 of flame holes 8 is ignited by an igniter disposed in the mentioned position in an initial stage of a combustion operation. The pre- mixed gas is subjected to combustion in the above manner. According to this structure, wherein a burner head 7 is made of a porous material having a high heat insulating capability, an atomized fuel can be burnt stably and completely.
