Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of a gas turbine by increasing the internal resistance to high temperature by preparing a burner and a transition piece in double structure, that is, making up the inside in direct contact with burning gas and the outside respectively of ceramic and metallic material.
CONSTITUTION: In a gas turbine plant 5 composed of a compressor 1, a turbine 2, a burner 3, and a generator 4, the burner 3 is composed of an outer tube 6, a ceramic burner 16, a ceramic transition piece 17 and a metallic burner cover 18 and a transition piece cover 19 fitted respectively to these ceramic outer sides. Accordingly, the burner is protected by the ceramic material against high temperature and the metallic wall provides the mechanical strength and hence higher temperature resisting and more efficient gas turbines can be constructed.
