Abstract
PURPOSE: To save the material of a motor and improve the productivity in assembling of the motor by constructing the motor with a band insulator for insulating the inter-phase of winding ends and a separator for insulating the inter-phase in a slot to thereby eliminate the connecting piece between the band insulators.
CONSTITUTION: After a winding 5 is contained within a slot 4 according to the conventional procedure, a separator 9b of gate type inter-phase insulator 9 is pressed into the slot 4 from the end in axial direction of the slot 4 and advanced to cover the rectilinear portion 5a of the winding 5 by the upper palte 9b1 and side plates 9b2, 9b3 of the separator 9b, and stopped at the position where the end 9c of the separator 9b is projected from the slot 4. Then, the upper plate 9b1 of the separator 9b is bonded to the band insulator 10, or adhered thereto by other method. The end 9c of the separator 9b is preferably cut out obliquely in shape at the ends of the side plates 9b2, 9b3 in a manner that the length l1 of the upper plate 9b1 is shorter than the length l2 of the lower portions of the side plates 9b2, 9b3.
