Abstract

PURPOSE: To satisfy the operation of a small electromagnet which has high opening speed and low closing speed of contacts for an electric motor vehicle controller by providing a return spring for returning the contact and a drive member for closing the contact against the tension of the spring.
CONSTITUTION: A relatively weak spring 34 is mounted between a movable piece 37 and the flange 32 of a spring retainer 33, and a pring 36 stronger than the spring 34 is mounted between the flange 32 and the washer 35 provided at the end of a bolt 28. A movable flat piece 37 is movably engaged with an accelerator shaft 38 rotating in cooperation with an accelerator pedal at the intermediate portion thereof to be rotatable regardless of the shaft 38. When the piece 37 is attracted to an iron core 20, a movable contact 41 makes contact with a stationary contact 26. The contact 41 is urged to separate from an insulator 39 around one end A as a center at this time to thereby compress a wiping spring 43 to thus increase the contacting pressure and to produce sufficient contacting pressure thereat.
