Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the above-mentioned steel material having a superior adhesive property against coating material and clear and accurate satin finish contrast, by corroding the surface in satin-like by corrosion liquid after carrying out sharpening heat treatment of stainless steel material.
CONSTITUTION: Surface of the austenitic stainless steel material is corroded by acting sulfuric acid or hydrofluoric acid after carrying out sharpening heat treatment of the above steel material, which makes anticorrosive property worse, for example, in the extent of about 400W850°C. Next, anticorrosive and processing properties, are improved by carrying out solid solution treatment under the existence of reducing gas, such as H2 gas etc. The satinized austenitic stainless steel material is able to obtain having a good adhesive property in case of coating organic or inorganic matter on the surface of the above material. Also, adhesive property of coating is able to improve with making the surface rough in higher degree, by carrying out recrystallization annealing of cold rolled stainless steel material as it is before carrying out the above-mentioned sharpening treatment and making the crystal roughness higher.
