Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize performance of an elastic roller used for a tape recroder, by forming a core and ring solidly through injection.
CONSTITUTION: One end of a boss 3 of core 2, make of polyacetal resin, is extended to form a lug 4 for engagement with a ring 1. A shaft inserting hole 5 of the core 2 is put on a projection of a metal mold, which can form a product specified for an injection forming machine, and the core 2 is precisely positioned at several points. Polyether-polyester block co-polymer is then injection to form the ring 1. This method requires no forming press. The ring thus produced shows no vibraton in vulcanization, which stabilizes performance of the elastic roller.
