Abstract

PURPOSE: To get a simple 5-port, 3-position exhaust center type valve, by fitting a pair of spools, each loose longitudinally under pilot pressure, in the valve.
CONSTITUTION: Pilot chambers 3, 4 are set to both ends of a spool chamber 2 of the valve body 1. The valve has an in-port 8 at the center, out-ports 9, 10 on both sides of the in-port, and exhaust ports 11, 12 on both sides of the out-ports. A pair of spools 13, 14, each having a main land 15 at its internal end, piston 16 with a diameter larger than that of the main land 15 at the external end and auxiliary land 17 with a diameter equal to that of the main land 15 between the main land 15 and the piston 16, are put in the valve body 1, each longitudinally sliding independently.
