Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a battery from running down, by providing a secondary battery in an integrating meter which electrically performs integration and indication and by enabling the charging of the battery through electromagnetic induction from the outside of a casing.
CONSTITUTION: The rotation of a permanent magnet corresponding to a measured flow rate is detected by a sensor 7 in terms of an electric signal, which is changed by an interface circuit 12 into another electric signal of frequency corresponding to the rotational frequency of the magnet to store an integrated value at 8 and indicate it at 11. The secondary battery 9 of a meter is charged by a voltage which is induced in a secondary coil W2 inside a casing 1 by a primary coil W1 outside the casing. Since no mechanical coupling means is provided between a display section and a means responsible to the measured quantity, the error in the measurement is reduced. Because the secondary battery is charged from the outside of the casing, the battery is prevented from running down.
