Abstract
PURPOSE: To decrease high-frequency power for excitation, by making high-frequency for excitation and the frequency of reference signals in a detecting channel differ in response to the width of observation.
CONSTITUTION: When center frequency fo, which must be observed by operator, and the width of observation fw are designated, a computer 7 alternately generates signals appointing the frequency fo and signals assigning frequency [fo-(fw/2)], and transmits the signals to an oscillator 3. The computer 7 further transmits gate signals to gate circuits 2, 5. Excitation pulses (frequency fo) with pulse width T1 are supplied to the NMR probe 1, and reference signals with the frequency [fo-(fw/ 2)] are fed to a phase detector 4 during a period T2. Thus, FID signals, which have frequency components up to the frequency fw from zero, are obtained as the detection output of the phase detector 4, and a resonance spectrum is gained by means of the computer 7 on the basis of the signals.
