Abstract
PURPOSE:To correct a PS plate image in a simple, easy, and reliable manner, by causing chemical change between the PS plate and a specified coated correction fluid by heating. CONSTITUTION:Direct current is passed by positive and negative terminals 6, 8 of power circuit 5 and electrode pencil 3 of a carbon bar and PS plate 7 on which retouching solution 14 made of a ferric chloride solution is coated to the portion of plate 7 to be corrected. The aluminum of plate 7 rapidly reacts with solution 14 chemically, resulting in attaching an pleophilic oily ink to the portion of plate 7 to be retouched. The retouching of a PS image for offset printing can be made simply and easily by washing this ink with water or wiping off this with a water- impregnated sponge.
