Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the trouble of operating a reception-frequency band switch by constituting a circuit so that when a reception frequency reaches the margin of one reception frequency band during the turning of a channel-selection dial, automatic switching to a next reception frequency band will be done.
CONSTITUTION: Channel-selecting variable resistor 3 is applied with voltage V0 from tuning voltage power supply 4, and tuning voltage VT is extracted from variable resistance 5 and applied across tuner 6. On the other hand, comparison reference voltages VREF17 and VREF28 are developed from power supply 4 and then compared with voltage VT by voltage comparator circuits 9 and 10, whose outputs are inputted to T-FF12. Here, a channel-selecting dial is turned fully to a rotation angle in the order of clockwise, counterclockwise and clockwise directions, so that voltage VT will vary with the rotation angle. At every time of a change into VT <VREF1 or VT>VREF2, FF12 is triggered to generate an output signal with its output polarity inverted. This output is supplied as the band switching voltage of tuner 6 to change automatically reception frequency bands.
