Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to set digitally a reception frequency even by a tuner circuit using a variable capacitor by controlling the output frequency of a local oscillator by making a comparison between its count value and digital set value. CONSTITUTION:For example, when the output frequency of local oscillator 3 should be 69.3MHz, set value N0 of digital setter 10 has three high-order digits 6, 9 and 3 in sequence. Now, when the output frequency of oscillator 3 is not less than 69.4MHz, output N1 of counter 9 is not less than 694 and the comparison value of digital comparator 11 results in N1>N0. For the purpose, AFC operation of AFC circuit 8 is turned OFF and motor 13 is driven to reduce the output frequency of oscillator 3. On the other hand, when the output frequency of oscillator 3 is less than 69.3MHz, the output frequency of oscillator 3 is increased. Next, when the output frequency of oscillator 3 is between 69.30 and 69.39MHz, the output of counter 9 is 693, resulting in N1=N0. Therefore, motor 13 is stopped and circuit 8 is put into AFC operation. Consequently, the output frequency of oscillator 3 is adjusted.
