Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce noise and to improve higher-harmonic distortion characteristics by splitting a broad band amplifier into two before and behind filters splitting a band, in a broad band receiver using a double mixing system. CONSTITUTION:A TV signal inputted to terminal 50 is applied to low-noise amplifier 12 after passing through variable attenuator 11. The output of amplifier 12 is applied to BPFs 22-24 for respective channel bands and their outputs are applied to high-gain amplifier 15 by way of change-over circuit 14. The control voltage of turning oscillator 20 is applied to terminal 44 and circuit 14 selects a fixed channel band. The output of amplifier 15 is converted into the 1st intermediate frequency by the 1st mixer 16, whose output is passed through BPF17 and then converted into a signal of the 2nd intermediate frequency by the 2nd mixer 18. The output of mixer 18 is amplified by intermediate-frequency amplifier 19 and then outputted from terminal 60.
