Abstract

PURPOSE: To attain automatic waveform equelization by a simple circuit without giving waveform distortion to a main signal, by applying an input TV signal to an automatic waveform equilizer.
CONSTITUTION: A TV signal applied to input terminal 1 is inputted direct to equalizer 8 without being passed through a sound-signal stopping filter. The output of equalizer 8 is branched by distributor 3; one signal is outputted as a main signal and the other has its sound signal removed by sound-signal stopping filter 7 to demodulate only a video signal applied to demodulation part 10, into a base band signal. Then, this demodulation part 10 consists of a Nyquist filter, phase equalizer and demodulator and the phase qualizer equalizes phase distortion generated by filter 7 and Nyquist filter. The base band signal demodulated by demodulation part 10 is applied to control part 9 to send a control signal out from control part 9 so that equalization part 8 will be brought under control in accordance with various algorithm.
