Abstract

PURPOSE:To operate step-out detection for the pulse motor efficiently by the method wherein, by giving a feedback pulse to the preset signal input terminal of a counter, the carry or borrow signal of a preset counter is utilized as abnormal condition detection signal. CONSTITUTION:Pulse motor 3 rotates in accordance with instruction pulses, and preset counter 9 counts instruction pulses from the preset values. When no step-out has occurred, before a carry signal is outputted from carry terminal 9d of preset counter 9, counting is operated again by preset pulse PR from pulse generator 6. Even when the direction of feeding is reversed in the middle, the first pulse is given to preset input terminal 9b, and no erroneous operation occurs. When a step- out has occurred, before preset pulse PR is given, a carry or borrow signal is outputted from ounter 9 and an alarm is given through alarm circuit 12.
