Abstract

PURPOSE:To assure the adjustment of back-lash by using as an unit the reciprocal of product of numbers of teeth in a spur gear integral with a gear of a drive mechanism and another spur gear meshing with an internal gear meshing with said spur gear and also with a gear shaft. CONSTITUTION:The lower tooth surface of an internal gear 35 is located in a vacant portion (tooth-free portion) 32 of a spur gear 32 to disengage the internal gear 35 from a spur gears 17a, 32. Next, a gear shaft 18 is rotated clockwise to rotate left and right pinion gears meshing with racks respectively in the opposite direction to each other to remove back-lash in a loop-like drive system. At the same time a position is sought by rotating the internal gear 35 in which it meshes with the gears 17a, 32 simultaneously. At such position the internal gear 35 is shifted to make both gears mesh with each other, hold the spur gear 32 and internal gear 35 with a holding plate 34, drive a motor for rotating the left and right pinion gears in the same direction under the condition of adjusting the back-lash amount by using as an adjusting unit the reciprocal of product of numbers of teeth N1, N2 in the spur gears 17a, 32.
