Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate getting on and off an automobile and also to improve operativeness of door functional parts by arranging a guide rail to mount one end of a seat belt thereon such that it extends forward at the lower end of a door and then further extends upward ahead.
CONSTITUTION: Upon opening a door 11, a buckle 16 and a runner 14 are disengaged to turn on a door switch 24, thus running motors 13, 32. In conjunction with a rotation of the motor 13, the runner 14 moves forward until it comes in contact with a limit switch 23b ahead of the door 11. Then in conjunction with a rotation of the motor 32, a belt guide 33 moves forward on a roof guide rail 31 as far as it comes in contact with a limit switch 35a. A belt is thus released. Upon closing the door 11, on the other hand, the motor 13 runs counter, the runner 14 recedes and at the same time, the motor 32 runs counter and the belt guide 33 recedes. Then simultaneously the belt 18 is wound up by a retractor 17.
